Nisha Morris

Board Member

Nisha Morris was previously the executive director of communications, public relations for Providence St. Joseph Health, a Catholic health system with 50 hospitals, 829 physician clinics and 111,000 caregivers (employees) serving communities across seven states – Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington. In this role, she led the team responsible for system-wide proactive media relations at a national level as well as oversaw public relations for the organization’s eight markets.

Nisha joined the health system in 2014. Recently, Nisha made the decision to leave Providence St. Joseph Health to focus on her family. Her 9-year-old daughter, Nathasha, was born with a rare genetic condition that causes her to stop breathing when she sleeps. It’s a complicated medical condition that requires around-the-clock monitoring. Her daughter will soon go through a major transition in her health care that will greatly improve her quality of life, and Nisha left PSJH to dedicate her time to her family right now.

Being a special needs mom and advocate is an experience that led Nisha to work in health care and also connected her heart to CGC’s mission of empowering children and families. She joined the Child Guidance Center board of directors in <insert month and year> to help guide and support the agency’s strategic communications and public relations needs. She is passionate about the work CGC is doing to end the stigma associated with mental illness and bring children and families who are hurting out of the shadows and into care they need.

Nisha holds a dual master’s degree in marketing and healthcare management. In 2007, Nisha received a PR News’ top Women in PR award. She lives in Ladera Ranch in Orange County, California, with her husband, Randy, her daughter, Nathasha, and their many pets.
